That Perfect Moment

This piece is a celebration of that perfect moment. That perfect moment shown here in this piece is of a surfer riding a wave while pelicans fly just above the crest of the wave under the setting sun. I chose this theme because of the stone, the most delicious and gemmy piece of ice blue Big Sur California jade. This jade is usually considered extremely difficult to carve and so I took that as a challenge and added oodles of detail, undercut reliefs, texture and an inlay. The setting sun inlay is hand carved Oregon red sunstone with schiller. The accent bead is high grade Australian Marlborough Chrysoprase with small bubble details. The neck cord is hand braided top quality Ritza tiger Thread and is adjustable in length. Comes in a custom leather pouch sewn by Yesica.
