Jade Fantasy Mushroom Cottage Pendant

Seriously……..this piece is pure joy, happiness, freedom, love, life. I sat down and just carved fun, condensed and refined fun. This tiny little fantasy mushroom cottage was hand carved by me in some very dense  and tightly grained Wyoming Olive jade that a friend of mine found. I have been a lifelong mushroom forager and mycology enthusiast as well as have had a love for classic fantasy in literature and art. It was natural for me to combine the two and I have been carving these cottages for a while now. This one is particularly fine with a wonderful  and intricately carved shake roof, windows, doorway, front steps, plants and grasses and inlaid chimney that is hand carved in Wyoming Edward’s black jade. This is a very fine and very fun piece. It is a serious carving of a very fun theme. It is lightweight and comfortable and comes strung on a hand braided Ritza Tiger Thread cord that is adjustable in length.
